2015 Hunting on Oatka Club Property Rules
The Genesee Conservation Foundations generously allows the Members of the Oatka F&G Club to Gun and Bow hunt for ANTLERLESS DEER ONLY, on the 500+ acres of land behind the club house. To stay in good standing with the Genesee Conservation Foundation we must follow the rules below:

1. The Preserve has agreed to allow the OF&GC the privilege of hunting for Antler less Deer Only. Again I stress this is for Doe (Antler less Deer by the D.E.C. legal definition.). Coyotes and small game hunting is not allowed.
2. You have to have completed the Oatka F&G Hunter Orientation and be issued a Badge/Button. You must wear the Badge/Button outside of your hunting clothes.
3. The season is the same as described by the DEC Southern Archery, Gun and Muzzle Loading seasons.
4. You must Sign-in the Red Book each day you hunt. Be specific where you are going to hunt. If you move to a different area update the Red Book first.
5. Tree stands and climbing trees are NOT ALLOWED you must hunt from the ground. Our Insurance does not cover Tree stand hunting.
6. Upon taking a Deer ,Complete the “DEER HARVEST DATA SHEET” form. These forms are located in the RED sign-in Book in the Clubhouse. After completing the form put it in the mail slot. The Oatka F&G reports our deer harvest to the Foundation at the end of each hunting season.
7. Organized Push/Drive Hunting is allowed from Thanksgiving Day to End of the Regular Season. Participants in the Push/Drive Hunts have to use Shotguns Only.
8. Rifle Hunting is allowed UNLESS you are a Participant in a Push/Drive Hunt.
9. Walkie Talkie/Handheld Radio - You are required to carry & use a functional unit set on Channel 4. Before a Push/Drive Hunt starts an announcement will be made from the Organizer on Channel 4.
10. Blaze Orange Vest and Hat – During gun season you must wear both.
11. It is each individual's responsibility to hunt safely and report any infractions to the Board of Directors. Don’t let an unethical member spoil this for the entire membership.
